0421 GMT [Dow Jones] Slipping under most investors' radar screen, recent BDI rally
in part driven by expectations China will have to import grains amid severe drought
there, says SHK Financial's Castor Pang; 4-month drought in northern China is worst
in 50 years, according to media reports. If view correct, then recent BDI rally
shouldn't been read as sure sign of full-fledged recovery of China's industrial
activities, Pang says. HK-listed dry bulk shippers mixed, some taking breather after
hefty gains recently. China Cosco (1919.HK) +2.3% at HK$5.84, China Shipping (1138.HK)
down 1.0% at HK$8.55, Pacific Basin (2343.HK) +0.4% at HK$4.96.(RLI)
