    well, firstly you need to establish how big a problem foreign ownership is. If it's less than 0.1%, then that wouldn't be too bad. If it's 10%, that would be. So what is the reliable figure? But my feeling is foreign ownership is a good way down the list in the main causes of housing affordability. Bigger reasons would be interest rates, government policy especially it's tax policies like negative gearing and cgt, the supply of houses affected by zoning laws, planning permission, red tape, amount of building, corruption etc
