My problem is the poor training given to the checkout people. The idiots fill up the reuasable bags to the point where they can only just lift them up and then expect shoppers to be able to carry them.

I voluntarily bought some reusable bags (no compulsory plastic bag charges in Victoria as yet) but I gave up using them when every supermarket visit I had to tell the checkout operator when to stop putting groceries in a bag because they kept filling them up to much thus making the a bugger to lift.

Eg. I would have three bags and rather than spreading the groceries over all three they would fill two to the brim and hand the third back empty.
