    If one is going to ban shorting then oine would have to ban all types of market manipulation.Daytrading is a form of market manipulation, buying at one price and straight away placing the stock one pip higher with no regard for the company or its shareholders, and let me say this practice is rife in just about all asx listed stocks under $1.
    The whole market is a red black casino.Long term its the mum and dad investor that lose out it would seem.ducks
