I will add a little more to my post on Wednesday for those who like to count.

    DJIA.
From 20/10/1987 to 26/1/2018 was 16 cycles of 691 days.
From 11/8/2008 to 26/1/2018 was 5 cycles of 691 days. the same period is pretty much

    From major low 9/8/1982 to 26/1/2018  Days = 12954
    (1982 to 2012 = 30 years)
    From the 2012 year high  5/10/2012  Price 13,661.9 to 26/18/2018 high 26616.7 = Range 12954

For the Gannsters that is a damn fine square out.

I tend not to use wiggly lines but I do keep an eye on the MACD because it can be a good early warning tool.
On the weekly chart the MACD high at about 980 is more than double the previous all time high of around 460 in May 1999.  It has a long way to go to the zero line.  2008 MACD lowed at about -870 so +980 is out there on it's own.
However, unlike previous major highs there is no divergence so perhaps we are at the start of the distribution and a higher high will follow.

My study has shown plenty of times the Gann type setup works a treat often on the high before the final top and vice versa.  It could be described a the true top followed by the physical top. So perhaps the Jan high fits into that category.

Last night pulled up just above 50%  (Mini DOW was bang on). Mr Gann would have a buy order on that basis with a stop & reverse if he had it wrong.

I don't normally write this much but while I am at it.... particularly for the newish traders - brokers can go bust VERY quickly and segregated accounts mean nothing. Pooled deposits and margins means everyone in the pool is exposed regardless of open positions (even if they are winning ones) or no position.
So my advice is keep your accounts to a minimum if what is in your account is important to you.
W.D. Gann wrote "If you plan for the worst, the worst will never happen to you".
    Cheers.
