I haven't eaten a banana since the crisis. It was a daily eat for me, but have adapted with no problems and won't support the higher prices asked by the chains. If they're selling them for 12.99 - don't tell me the chains are buying them for 10 per kilo. I wouldn't be surprised if they're getting them for under 5 per kilo. I wish Australians would get smart like Asians and think before they hand over the money they worked hard for. If that was the case then everything we buy here would be cheaper. When was the last time you saw an Asian paying 6.99 for apples?
