Flashback.....
- PS-2 recorded increase in Gas after drilling a thin laminated sand at the top of the Caley at 5176m.
- Then around 5206m had a major gas rise (42%) from a permeable Sand (with heavies) &
- at 5216 took a gas influx at which point drilling was suspended.
- They weren't able to log this section via the Gamma or Res tool in the LWD assembly as these were bit further up in the BHA from the drillbit.
(pg-3 of https://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20170328/pdf/43h2s1dlckc5dq.pdf)
That's why the CoS is higher as they believe gas with heavies should b there at PS#3 since its in close proximity to PS#2.
That's also the reason why they r setting up an extra casing string at PS#3, so that this time around they can drill into the Caley reservoir trouble free & log it first via the LWD tool that sits just behind drill bit & then with proper suite of Wireline logs.
Hope this helps.
