Fantastic you eventually settled your obligations.
It would seem however that you signed up for something you could not honour and then went out and spent all the money. The people who end up paying for this is me through higher bank fees and lower interest rates because of these bad reckless debts.
Do I feel sorry for people that borrow more than they should and then expect the rest of society to foot the bill. Not one iota.
Good on you for settling the debt and for that I personnally would remove this bad history since you did the right thing.
The mortgage mess in the US is the same. You and I will pay for a long time as these bad mortgage products were bought by Australian investors including many superannuation funds. Feel sorry for those that took the money to live well above their means and then went bankrupt.... not one iota.
