There were some disturbing market moves in europe overnight with 2 Italian banks, Unicredit and Intesa Sanpaolo briefly suspended after swift 5% falls, and Lloyds and RBS down over 3%, all on high volume amid talk of a greek default being inevitable.
On top of that Fitch has commented that our banks are particularly vulnerable given our dependence on offshore funding markets.
I'm on the sidelines at the moment and I'm not usually this pessimistic, but it's not looking promising in the near term.
