One should not whinge about banks, they should invest in them.
Perhaps instead of coming up with ridiculous MRRT, the government should have instructed the Future Fund to invest in mining shares. That way everyone can benefit from the resources boom, without making the miners less competitive due to increased taxes and additional administrative overhead.
The same could be said for suggestions of a super profit tax on banks.
