If you dont like banks- fine- dont use them. I dont like Aldi, so I dont patronise their stores.
The RBA is the THE determiner of interest rates. The spread between fixed deposit and mortgage rates is less than 1.5%. Banks profit comes from the margin, not the headline rate.
