The unemployment rate doesn't count people who have given up on looking for a job....the
so-called 'discouraged'. This makes the figures a total farce - labour force participation is at historic lows. Added to that, job numbers are calculated based on surveys of selected employers - and are usually revised downwards later on.
The 'greatest economy in history' is in fact all smoke & mirrors.
