The worst thing is to be utterly powerless to do anything about it, but just have to stand by and watch as it happens. We want to live in a safe world where everyone gets a fair go. I believe that stability is what people ultimately seek, a chance to get ahead by the sweat of your own brow & to watch your children and grandchildren grow up in safety & have opportunities of their own. I can state categorically that central bank actions have made our future much more uncertain, much less safe - but more so for our children and grandchildren. They will be confronted with a massive wall they have to climb before even getting a foot on a rung, and our societies will become progressively less egalitarian and more and more about passing on hereditary wealth. The urge to get ahead will be diminished, and the debt we all have to carry will grow and grow as the government pays out vast sums in rental subsidies to the poor just so they can have a place to live, and benefit payments increase exponentially to keep pace with spiralling inequality and inflation.
