If "Cash is being used less as a means of payment and access to cash is declining", then how do we trust these figures from the RBNZ's own "Bank Notes in the Hands of the Public" webpage? It looks like increasing public usage to me so my cynicism continues I'm disappointed to say. Here's the link for the full info... https://www.rbnz.govt.nz/statistics/f3
Then I checked NZ's gold reserves to see whether they had acquired some since selling it all 30 years ago....but, I guess not!
I won't even bother checking the RBNZ's balance sheet.....
