The Fed and its proxies are caught between a rock and a hard place. Absolutely no doubt about it. The protection racket that is the USD combined with the suppression of PMs and manipulation of commodities to curb inflation has them in a corner with no way out. And right on cue the geopolitical enemies the US has created are picking away at them with renewed vigour as they see a weak leader sitting atop the house of cards. Easing of monetary policy will let the inflation bag of cats out again and take gold with it. We await the next Bear Sterns moment.
