What people have failed to recognise is that banks are insulated whichever way the market goes now.
For if the market drops banks will be the main benefiary of any flows of money due to their defensiveness.
Now if the market rises their exposure to the equity markets can not be ignored so again will be the recipients of huge wads of cash!!!
Now if the banks continue to drop it will only be temporary anyway and we can sit back with our our champagne and enjoy the dividends coming in.
Thats why the market was so frenzied today in the banks. This will continue there is no doubt.
Chartists have got a lot to learn about banks.
