banks demands

a friend who has an extensive property portfolio, just been told that his house which was worth 6.5 million has been revalued at 2.5 million and the bank has demanded the difference,so now he's in the process of selling as many investment properties so he can keep family home.Has no problem paying mortgages,just bank calling in the loan.Also he knows it's happening to other friends.
