banking sector is an orphan. at best, it will drift slowly down or sideways. worst case could see sp back at '04 levels.
i've been tempted to buy but now decided to wait until i see a clear turnaround. no way of knowing when that will be, certainly not any time soon.
means i miss the absolute bottom but worried less about that than tying up interest bearing cash prematurely.
if giants like citigroup have got the begging bowl out how bad must it be for the minnows of the world?
