    the share price and the regulator are diametrically opposed.

    the regulator must ensure all material items have been disclosed. CNP have done that well and truly. Appendix 4E had copious commentary about whether or not the directors were of the view that CNP is a going concern. The share price is irrelevant form this perspective. The ASX does not say: "your share price is getting smashed, there's something you're not telling us, so we'll de-list you and then you should liquidate". It is ridiculous and that is sort of what you are implying. Material disclosures have been made. The market is pricing in risk. Every company is at risk of liquidation at any point in time. There is no such thing as zero risk. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't be able to undertake risky investments.
