Assumptions:
Copper Price $1.40 US
Gold Price $970 US
Cost per pond $0.80 US

Estimated Production:
Copper 100,000 tonnes
Gold 80,000 ounces

Yet banks arn't happy.

I agree BHP would not want the Chinese getting two much control of Base metals but whether they would be interested in bidding is debateable.
