I feel a bit funny on this thread giving thumbs up to a few Leftie members here who I'm normally opposed to. I'm normally as right wing as you can get but not when it comes to our great gun laws introduced by John Howard and also the Labor party at the time. The situation in the US and their ridiculous second amendment means they are stuck with their horrendous gun murder rate and there is almost nothing they can do about it.
No serious hunter needs an AR 15 semi auto assault rifle. No farmer needs one. No one does.
You need a licence to drive a car. Can someone explain to me why you shouldn't need a licence to own a gun?
How do you stop stop mentally ill people buying guns? Radicle muslims? Blokes who just beat up their wives? Someone who has spent the last 20 years in gaol?
Our gun laws are just great how they are and good luck to anyone who think they can go back to how it was 20 years ago. It will never happen.
