Ms Trader, I agree we have survived 100 years withiout it. However in the last 20 years we have seen wholesale deregulation and privitation of the markets including the ASX. Now as a publicly listed company the ASX has become addicted to the revenue short selling generates! The ASX should not be have a say in the ASX rules or the enforcement thereof, as the ASX is now one of the players and is hardly objective.
