    That is the theory, in practice funds would have access to the same information (again in theory) as us "mug" punters. The playing field would be level - finally.

    If the funds felt a stock was not up to improving they would sell it, just like we would - hence stocks would rise and fall according to results and information available to all - that's transparency! And, not according to the whims of a few powerful players, using other ppls money to screw investors.

    All I can see is that this is a scam that has been out there for a century and it is so ingrown that even professors are saying it is a good thing, when in fact its just something that we can't seem to shake off - like old luggage!
