    Nothing is ever certain of course. But Brookside have drilled two horizontal wells, Jewel and Flames, and proven the resource. It's valued at $170m (3.5m proven, 8.4m probable) and that was some time ago. BRK have acquired more acreage since then increasing that number.

    That $170m puts the value of Brookside at something like 5c. So a great question is with the proven resource as such, why is the share price 1.2c?

    Well, getting the oil out is hard and expensive to start with and BRK do not have the funds to do it by themselves. And DP has a shocking reputation as a manager. So combine those two and the difference between the fair value and assets and the market price reflects how confident they are that DP can organise the proverbial root in a house of ill repute.

    If DP can get runs on the board, ie show he's able to keep a significant working interest in the major drilling project while bringing it to production, then the share price will close in on 5c, or whatever proven resource value Brookside retains.
