yeah I’m with you here. As raised by some of the others, the world will still be dependant on O&G for decades. Almost all military power is dependant on it, and not until virtually instant charging of battery tech is developed. All armoured vehicles/tanks can run continually since they can just refuel and go, the conflict won’t pause for a few hours to charge your batteries. Not to mention current EV tech couldn’t power 30-70tonne armoured vehicles for any sustained period of time.
the other elephant in the room is the reality that O&G is far cheaper so many poorer nations can’t afford to go to renewable energy.. look at Lebanon at the moment for example, Event more affluent families are restricted to 2hours of power a day from critical shortages, most people in developing nations can’t afford fossil energy, so certainly can’t afford renewable! And while there’s a market somewhere in the world, it’ll remain a major industry.
