Yes, running a company is all about being all over the operations. It doesn't mean micromanaging, it's about having the right people in the right places and ensuring they are doing their jobs. Those employees are answerable to the MD, just as the MD is answerable to the shareholders of that publically listed company! Shareholder value is shareholder wealth, the SP is important, it's why we invest. However, marketing, administration, announcements, strategy and cohesion are also important and I agree, the business is exciting but it's lacking something. I think it's a mixture of the above. That's my 2c worth, which ironically is the share price!
