Not sure I can agree fully - Hotcopper is another social media platform. Social media has disrupted many traditional ways news is reported, how people get their information, and more importantly, how they form their opinions. Look at how the influencers bag oil and gas and promote solar power and batteries - where the mining of the raw materials for these are anything BUT green.

How we describe things, even though they may be 'tongue in cheek', will influence a number of people negatively. Is it enough to keep the SP down? I don't know. However, it is likely to be multifactorial - that is a whole range of things each playing a part in influencing SP. A bit like Chaos Theory - great effects can have their origin in small events - a butterfly flapping its wings in the rainforest causes a cyclone in the pacific.

If we put off too many retail investors, we put ourselves in the hands of the instos.

I am not saying don't criticise the negative stuff but let's not trivialise the good stuff either.

The way everything is going - every little bit helps!
