Mabey someone with deep pockets understands BRK will make another $10 million in the Dec quarter, can add up to see it will make ~$30 million for the year and likes to buy stocks with no debt trading on a P/EV ratio of 1 or less.

Maybe they understand the NPV valuation to assess the asset base and gets that BRK are in the monetization phase and doesn't want to be left on the sidelines with a possible early sale. IMO the record date to receive any distribution or be eligible to participate in a buy back will on the days of the announcement, which will be preceded by a trading halt.

Price rise probably not drilling related as still have a week or so for Juniata logging results and WP news for completion and flow back is also a few weeks away.
