I see there is some guff about end of year selling being a factor in the snail like buy back.
presumably this Einstein like conclusion is suggesting that a more aggressive buy back will be forthcoming any day soon once the flood of easy picking shares stops? Yeh right.
I see a continuation of the buy as few as you can at the cheapest possible price scenario, and that’s all very well and good but don’t try to pass it off as a serious attempt at raising company market cap or shareholder value.
Shucks, even buying back 350m out of 5bn is not going to make a dent in the shares on issue.
Sure we can all get our slide rules out and demonstrate how many metrics would be improved if this happened or that happened.

But the one metric we all want to see is the share price improved.

I repeat, a total operational success, a total share price flop. Over to you management.
