Stepping up is not creating a floor .
I think what they are doing is creating a floor and now that they are at the price pre announcement I doubt they will lower it much more or at all unless a falling oil price demands it .
With their present strong cash flow I would vote for an increase in the size of the buyback .
The share price that is relevant is the one you sell at , not necessarily the daily price that Hot Copper posters obsess about .
