and just to carry the metaphor forward, the current bargains and high dividend yield stocks provide very soft air bags to land in at the bottom of the cliff. I expect to make up brk losses by efoy and that is not counting negative gearing returns.
As a parting shot.
The brk board MUST be acutely aware that they are in a free market where demand, supply and opportunity dictate behaviour, and yet their decisions SEEM oblivious to market principles, disregarding forces bigger than the company. There's only one explanation for that type of behavior. I'll leave others to speculate. I wont be one of those non-holders who keep nagging away.
