Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the Chinese government just release a draft of New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035):
At the first glance, EV sales need to be 20% total vehicle sales by 2025 and need to be 40% by 2030.
That's lots of lithium will be required.
