I think you kind of answered your own question.

If spoofing and capping creates sellers, then that process can be used to drop the sell side numbers and allow the algorithms to then drop the pip with a small trade.

Creating selling through fear is their game. These forums are proof of that, a paid bashers playground. But plenty of the fear also comes from people watching the trading without realising what they are watching isn't organic.

So basically there are many, many techniques used simultaneously. All illegal.

And lets not forget the use of the short sold shares... passing back and forth...

Man that SDV North sale must have really pissed them off. Quite a spanner in the "works". It could also explain all the calls for a buy back... basically calls to get rid of the cash as soon as possible.
