Just looking at some ASX data...

@tutor can you please explain a couple of things if you know ..?


1) Why are the "borrowed" numbers different to the "loaned" numbers?










2) Why are the Shortman figures (T+4) for aggregate short sales different from these numbers, for the same day..?
(this example below is for Feb 5th, where Shortman indicates Aggregate short sales of 75,641,894 units, but the closest number here is the Reported Gross Outstanding Borrowed Stock @ 73,896,018 units)

3) AFAIK the gross number here includes "onward lending activity", so therefore the Net Outstanding Borrowed Stock (46,211,465 units) more accurately reflects how many shares are ACTUALLY shorted (or would actually need to be covered to close all shorts).... Is this correct?
