Tesla as a early start up of EV revolution has survived after struggling for years to make a profit, but now they are in better position than most of the conventional car makers - financially and technically.
As other car makers are catching up to Tesla in term of battery technology and also making some ground on their missed opportunity, inevitably they will pose serious competition to Tesla in EV space in years to come - both in margin and market share.
ATM, Tesla are so far ahead of the game in term of financial and technical advancement with 2 profitable car plant and 2 more coming on line next year, there is no way they will turn pear shape quickly as predicted by John Cadogan in 2021 or 2022
Definitely Tesla will face stiff competition from conventional car makers and also from the like of NIO, Xpeng and BYD from as early as 2022, but they will not go bust just because J. Cadogan said so.

you do know that at today’s share price Tesla are trading at a PE of 1,367 years?

I certainly wouldn’t invest any of my hard earned in a company that’s trading at those figures.
