Aint that the absolute truth Struggler.   Back in the early 1970's I was working in central Western Qld installing the ABC's Phase-7 Television System throughout remote and regional areas, where nearly every road was simply a graded dirt track, and I asked one of the Japanese Engineers who were out here working with us, on secondment from Japan for the duration of the project, what did he think of Australia.

He paused, deep in thought for quite awhile, before he answered, "Hmmm, no ploblem, we lare quite used to wolking in 3rd wolrd and undler-developed countlies".

Despite all of the advances in technology since then, I would still be tempted to say today, that once you get West of the Great Divide, not a lot has changed in the intervening almost 5 decades, from his own 'stinging appraisal' of Australia.
