You buy when sentiment turns, which is what I did in the mid-low 70s (my posts are evidence of this). You don't buy when sentiment goes from bad to awful to terrible. That's just catching a falling knife..
Btw, I still hold. I've sold down small parcels along the way but still hold the majority of my original position. I got a call from GXY earlier in the week asking how I was going to vote in the upcoming merger.
