Which mining giant(s) will soon be looking to acquire Mergco.?
RIO is on my radar after big investment in Jadar...which is a long way off production:
"First saleable production is expected in 2026 at a time of strong market fundamentals with lithium demand forecast to grow 25-35% per annum over the next decade. Following ramp up to full production in 2029."
"...making Rio Tinto one of the top ten lithium producers in the world." I guess they mean in 2029!? Only top 10. Mergco. soon to be top 5.
"seeking an exploitation licence and receipt of regulatory approvals"...that's where they're at today: Seeking.
I can't imagine RIO is going to wait until 2029 to be in the top 10. As SPs rise, pressure is on to pull the trigger.
