S&P Global Platts assessed battery grade lithium carbonate at Yuan 110,000/mt, and battery grade lithium hydroxide at Yuan 120,000/mt on Aug. 13, both up Yuan 5,000/mt day on day. Both assessments were on a delivered, duty-paid China basis.
Spodumene concentrate with 6% lithium oxide content (SC6) was assessed at $1,300/mt FOB Australia Aug. 13, up $20/mt from Aug. 6.Some sources are looking forward to an upcoming spodumene auction that is set to take place in the next two to four weeks; the volume up for tender is believed to be slightly more than 10,000 mt, sources said.
