Some of the technology for autonomous vehicles already exist in manufacturing. Optical eyes have been following lines like those on the roads since the 80's. Quality control use cameras to stop production variations of half a millimeter. Warehouses with autonomous pallet trucks have been around since 2000. R&D departments are usually 2 to 3 products ahead of every product released. Having seen and worked the systems, they are very real. Always thought one day the forces would collide and merge. Tony Seba call it disruption. Millennials are users of technology, they are not infront. Google maps and gps is a form of camera system using x and y coordinates.
Alternative technology will be used at SDV, korean and Japanese companies cannot afford to wait. Ganfen and Tianqi will try to take a foot hold of hard rock producers coming onto or near production.
Ganfen produce hydroxide but fix Ajm and Pls spodumene prices to low carbonate quailty pricing. If this is not market manipulation you need to get your head examined. Ganfen and Tianqi have no mining knowledge,  they use others. Catl have no secure supply for their batteries. Double the SP and the value is not even close. The SP is being held for ransom to sign a cheap deal. Those that don't have supply will be out of business.
