Negative gearing is a terrible policy. Good riddance. It encourages the accumulation of housing stock by the super rich while about 30% of Australian adults don't own ONE property.
As for the CGT discount - I'll need to have a closer look at that...
Still, Labor is EV and battery storage friendly. Lithium investors will see the bright side in that regard, whatever their views are on politics more generally.
