Lepidico’s Lmax uses only lepidolite and zinwaldte as feeds to produce carbonate. Now Lepidico’s LOH can be integrated into processors to produce hydroxide from various sources including spodumene. Apparently this kind of tech is what the likes of Gxy and Pls want to get involved in, hence gxy’s investment in Lpd and gxy’s and pls’s partnering with posco.
“LOH-MaxTM has application in the final processing of a broad range of lithium concentrates sourced from both hard rock, including spodumene and sedimentary hosted deposits. Accordingly, Lepidico sees opportunity for licensing this process technology to the growing number of lithium chemical producers.”
