I am trying to prove to the rest of the GXY forum that your are wrong in your assumption that the low SP is due to GXY-specific problems, a fact which you continue to ignore.

Why would the shorts close their position now? I don't know and you neither.
To answer this question you have to look at the motive and operator(s) behind all of this. Maybe the fallout and wider implications of this shorting campaign will give you a clue.

Here is a conspiracy theory: Follow the money trail!!! @Gameplanon's link showed that US banks pumped a bigger than ever amount of money into fossil fuels. Maybe they are protecting their US/Canada oil investment.
