The reality is that cost of consumer goods is NOT a product of the cost of raw materials alone.
It is a product of the cost of establishing and maintaining economies of scale.
Once a solution reaches volume production maturity, it becomes very difficult to shake.
I see High voltage DC fast chargers proliferating over the next decade in tandem with higher EV usage. Who is going to build out the Hydrogen charging stations?
Also remember that a Hydrogen fuel cell car with a short range lithium ion battery is much more complex than an EV, and much more at risk of catching fire.
