If you listened or read AT transcript, he explained the fall very well.
- 95% of world pricing is outside of china, year on year they have been rising.
- the spot price in china represent only 5%. The price fall was due to low quality produced in china not meeting high quality battery standard. The producers of low quality needed quick cash and sold at a discount. The battery factories with low quality stockpiles needed to get rid of their existing inventory and stopped buying low grade. The new policies required them to have higher grade.
- MS and Mc banks used 5% pricing in china to represent the world market. FALSE.
-Multiple banks assumed sqm could increase production by 300% and flooding the market, when infact their production had dropped. Sqm invested KDR because the royalty in Chile would cap their margins. Alb are not allowed to increase production due to water shortage. Poor analysis by banks.
- the shorting was to create fear for people who did not understand to sell their shares cheap.
- many lithium companies were overpriced and as a result created the impression every company was the same. The demand for quality lithium chemicals remain tight.
- world demand is expected to increase 50% by 2020, 13 months away. The total world increase is possibly around 5% -10%.
-Galaxy have also been tracking deliveries of other lithium companies and monitoring the SP. They will act at the best and appropriate time.
- construcrion of ponds will begin early 2019. The JV partners are also blue chip companies.
- My lithium position have increased. Quality lithium companies will expand and so will their share price. Once in a life time opportunity.
