And how many EVs will Nissan and VW be pumping out in 18 months' time? It's all well and good to throw out hyperbole statements like that without any underlying substance. I heard the same thing two years ago. Dates and estimates keep getting pushed back.
I'm all for EVs, but the reality is that until we actually see the big brands selling their popular models in EV format at a price that is comparable to its equivalent ICE format, the EV evolution will putter along at a snail's pace.
Not to mention the infrastructure for charging is pretty much non-existent in most places around the world. It's like having a mobile phone without any phone towers - the phone is useless without phone towers.
