- HP made a net profit of 6.5 billion USD in FY21
- JM fantasises of NUH being a billion dollar company and dreams of this every night
- HP decides it wants to buy NUH and own the tech. HP puts forward a very generous offer between 100-200m
- JM declines the offer, he wants to build NUH to be a global brand and household name
- HP is disappointed and offers significantly more they they believe the company is worth 300m+
- JM declines the offer again.
- HP is now mad
- HP lawyers point out that without their deal, NUH will probably go broke soon and they can pick it up for peanuts in liquidation
- HP delays the deal, sits back and waits
