I wouldn’t totally disregard recycling.
Most of the feedstock for recycling that is happening now, comes from batteries that fail quality testing during manufacture. I believe the manufacturers struggle to get the failure rate below 30%.
Add to that thousands of applications in electronic devices, power tools, scooters, etc etc.
