Just 4 the record, anybody currently in mining or has been in mining, knows wet & cyclonic weather does impact mining,
to what degree depends on severity.
What the weather doesn't impact massively is the crushing & processing (in this case DMS plant), provided mining has created a buffer to cover weather events & the like, by building excess ore stock on the crushing ROM (Run Of Mine) pad, as this ore is accessible shit or shine weather in most situations. This is standard procedure whether it be goldmining, copper, nickel, iron ore, manganese, lithium, (all base metals) etc.
To state weather, particularly a wet season, has no significant effect on mining is just plain wrong. Vehicles don't travel well up n down haulage roads n open pits in the wet, loaded or unloaded, whether its 50t or 200t.
Crushing & processing on the other hand should be OK with the provisos.
Even trucking to the port should be OK provided roads don't flood or wash away.
