Tesla doesn't have a record of direct mining involvement, does it? However, there may be a scenario where they may be more interested in a value-add part of the production which directly feeds into their EV chain, which seems a goof fit. Is it likely that, and someone did allude to this earlier, that they would set the lithium carbonate plant up as a separate entity, jointly funded by Core and Tesla, with supporting government grants announced in the 25 October budget?
